Have you ever been in love? Have you ever lost love? It’s human nature to always look back fondly after a break up and wonder what might have been. The mind forgets. The mind hides. Usually major issues are minimized and we forget the heartache and drama that actually led to the breakup. Sometimes people get back together only to remember why they were better off apart.

But what if you actually lost the love of your life...because of your own stupidity, immaturity, infidelity, selfishness, not loving back the way you were loved, being unappreciative of their effort or simply not realizing what you had until they were gone. This is the essence of this slow rock song. The slow tempo and steady sad heartbeat make the angst palpable. The pain. Grief. Heartache. The bitter words sung without a sweet melody to showcase their powerlessness amid the taste of anger and sorrow linger. Try not to cry too much as you remember your failed opportunity. We’ve all been there. Some of us are lucky enough to get them back or wake up quick enough to realize what we have before it costs us everything and before they leave us.

This music video is about lost love and how to deal with a breakup. I figured what better place to set the music video than me out all alone in the ocean on a cruise trying to escape the hurt and the pain. Have you ever been part of a break up? Have you ever wanted your ex back? Being brokenhearted stinks, doesn’t it?

Do what I do - enjoy a breakup song (and the music video) with a pint of cookie dough ice cream and then watch some Netflix...
