Como Brothers Band Hit the Stage for “Music to Meals”
(Long Island, NY) Known for combining their love of blues, pop, and rock n’ roll in their music as well as having licensed their songs on TV shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Matt and Andrew Como, collectively known as The Como Brothers Band, recently finished recording their new Imagination EPwith Grammy Award winning producer Graham Marsh (Bruno Mars, CeeLo Green) at Germano Studios, NYC. To celebrate the August release of their new EP, the band will perform on Friday, June 19th at 89 North Music Venue, 89 North Ocean Avenue, Patchogue, NY 11772 at6:30 p.m. as part of theLong Island Cares “Music to Meals” charity event.

To add to the momentous occasion, keyboardist Andy Burton–who’s played with the likes of Rufus Wainwright and John Mayer–will be joining them on stage along with Aaron Sterling who played drums on Taylor Swift’s Red Album and who is currently the drummer in The John Mayer Band.

Matt and Andrew shared a love of music since a young age playing in a Beatles cover band before forming The Como Brothers to focus on their own songs. Since their founding in 2012, they have been finalists in both theHard Rock Rising contest and the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands. They haveopened for acts such as The Wallflowers, David Cook, PJ Morton, and Howie Day and their music has been featured in the aforementioned “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” as well as MTV’s “The Real World”, and the Oxygen Network’s “Best Ink”. The brothers have released 2 EPs and a full-length album previous to their upcoming EP.
Special guests Sam Woolf and Alex Preston of American Idol top 5 fame will be performing, along with featured NY pop and R&B group The Janes, and veteran of The Voice; Marissa Ann. A meet and greet with all the artists will follow the show. Long Island Cares will have a donation box at the show for non-perishable food items and donated signed memorabilia will be raffled off.

Matt and Andrew Como have been honing their craft as established singer/songwriters and performers. October 2014 they recorded a new EP with Grammy Award winning producer Graham Marsh (Bruno Mars, CeeLo Green) at Germano Studios in NYC. Also playing with them on the EP is Grammy winning artist Steve Jordan on drums and Andy Burton of the John Mayer Band on Keys. The new EP is scheduled to be released in February 2015. The Como Brothers have performed at many music venues and festivals throughout the Northeast. Formed by songwriters Matt and Andrew Como, the band is known for their catchy lyrics and melodies.
